Chicken Parmesan Cheese Buns
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 200° C.
  2. Place rolls on a cutting board, using a serrated knife cut rolls in half lengthwise (without breaking rolls apart).
  3. Open rolls and place tops on one side of a baking sheet and bottoms on the other side, cut side up.
  4. Melt butter in a small microwave safe bowl.
  5. Stir in garlic powder.
  6. Brush butter on cut side of bread.
  7. Bake bread for 8 to 10 minutes until bread is lightly golden brown.
  8. Prepare chicken by slicing the thickest part of the breast about 1 cm thick.
  9. Cut the thinner part of the breast into pieces slightly larger than the individual rolls.
  10. Meanwhile warm a large skillet over medium high heat.
  11. Drizzle with olive oil.
  12. Sprinkle chicken with half of salt and half of pepper.
  13. Cook until browned, flip and cook until cooked through, about 8 minutes total.
  14. Remove bread from oven.
  15. Carefully remove top halves of rolls and place on a plate.
  16. Set aside.
  17. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the bottom halves.
  18. Top with cooked chicken pieces.
  19. Drizzle each chicken piece with about 1 tablespoon of marinara sauce and top with mozzarella cheese.
  20. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melted.
  21. Place top halves back on chicken.
  22. Cut into individual serves.
