Instructions
  1. Cream butter and sugar until white and fluffy.
  2. Beat eggs well.
  3. Add to the mixture.
  4. Sift flour and salt.
  5. Add flour and milk alternately.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. Pour into a greased and floured cake tin.
  8. Bake in a moderate oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Serve with a smile!
Recipe Notes

Mix 60 g plain flour with 1 teaspoon baking soda for self-raising flour.
