1 cup Plain Flour
1 cup Icing Sugar
2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarbinate of Soda
100 ml Milk
50 ml Butter
60 ml Curd
* Salt or Sand and ring for pressure cooker
Pre-heat the cooker, layer the base with salt or sand and place a ring.
Keep the rubber ring in the lid and take off the vent valve (cooker whistle).
Let the cooker heat up for 10 minutes on medium flame.
Sieve together the flour, icing sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and soda bicarb
Add the wet ingredients (milk, butter and curd) to the dry mix and whisk all of it together.
In a greased tin add the batter and then swirl and tap the tin.
Open the pressure cooker, place the tin and let the cake bake for 25 minutes.
Test for doneness – an inserted skewer should come out clean.
Remove cake from cooker.
Run a blade around cake in the tin to loosen.
Remove the cake from the cake tin and let it cool.
