Barbecue Tangy T-bone Steak
Instructions
Marinate:
  1. Place spices in a small frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Cook, tossing, for 1 or 2 minutes or until spices are toasted and fragrant.
  3. Remove pan from heat and cool.
  4. Place toasted spices, sugar, oil, and herbs in a small bowl.
  5. Place T-bone steaks on an oven tray and using your hands rub both sides evenly with the spice mixture, season to taste.
  6. Let stand for 3 to 4 hours or over night.
Steak and Vegetables:
  1. Preheat a barbecue or char grill pan to high.
  2. Cook the steaks on one side until the first sign of moisture appears.
  3. Turn the steak once only.
  4. Test for the degree of doneness with tongs.
  5. Rare is soft, medium feels springy and well done is very firm.
  6. Remove the steaks from the heat, loosely cover with foil and allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
  7. To pan roast your cauliflower and broccoli, heat oil or butter in a large frying pan over high heat, add thick cut cauliflower and broccoli florets and cook, tossing, until golden.
  8. Season to taste.
  9. Divide T-bone steaks among plates and serve with pan roasted cauliflower, broccoli, steamed green beans and relish.
